Who I am
The trials moved through, why this work, who it serves, and how to work together.
Dani created The Storyteller's Path because she lived through the painful, costly process of writing and publishing on her own. After a traumatic brain injury and seven to eight years rebuilding herself, she discovered writing as a tool for healing and meaning-making. When podcast hosts kept asking why her story was not a book, she wrote her international bestseller, The Wandering Heart. Having survived both self-publishing hardship and a disappointing hybrid publisher, she built a community and a professional team so other writers would not have to suffer the same obstacles.
Dani suffered a traumatic brain injury that forced her to relearn how to walk, use her brain, and function day to day. Recovery took roughly seven to eight years and a great deal of pain. Before the injury she lived an unconventional life: a year of hitchhiking and five years as a marijuana farmer in remote Northern California with no cell reception, bears, mountain lions, and little law enforcement. Afterward she navigated publishing alone, self-publishing at great personal cost and then being let down by a hybrid publisher.
While appearing on roughly 50 podcasts to share her travels and her brain-injury story, Dani kept hearing hosts ask why she had not turned her experience into a book. That question reoriented her. She saw the inspirational power of her story, created her international bestseller The Wandering Heart, and realized the process she had built could help other writers avoid the same hardships, which led directly to founding The Storyteller's Path.
Dani is completing her fantasy trilogy, The Veins of the Void, weaving spirituality, science, and anime-inspired world-building into a story about belonging, unity, and inner power. She is also developing workshops with a speaker coach that show writers different ways to be a storyteller. Her broader vision is to expand The Storyteller's Path so dedicated writers everywhere can move from idea to published book in as little as six months, supported by a full professional team.
Dedicated, heart-led writers who already know they have a story to share but need guidance on the who, the where, and the how. Her ideal members are committed, not on the fence, and simply need a clear process, professional support, and community to move from idea to finished, published book. She helps with memoir, transformational, fiction, and fantasy books, and does not work on nonfiction.
Everyone has a story to tell. Stop getting in your own way and get it going.
